ELEGANT LINCOLNSHIRE WEDDING

The end of March saw the gorgeous wedding of Katie and Stuart at Stoke Rochford Hall in Lincolnshire.

Katie first contacted me in October last year for some venue styling assistance, actually I believe it was with regards to recommendations for chair covers! I adapted my wedding planning kick start for her to incorporate the styling aspect and we had such a great afternoon brainstorming ideas at the end of October, including hiring in chairs to match her vision more effectively. Katie then decided that she would like some assistance sourcing suppliers, (photographer, florist, chairs, bridesmaid dresses), wedding design / styling, venue assistance, followed up by assisting the week of the wedding including wedding day management.

Katie’s vision was timeless elegance and after looking through my portfolio she loved the colour palette of peach, slate and a hint of metallics. Our secret Pinterest board was always being added to and with the addition of the lovely Jenny from the Flower Barn, all came together perfectly. We all understood what needed to be created to bring Katie’s ideas to life. Following on from this the bridesmaid dresses were chosen from Victoria at The Ivory Room and the amazing David Lowerson was booked to photograph to day.

Whilst Katie booked me quite late on into her wedding planning, everything still came together perfectly. I sourced additional items for their special day including mercury tea light holders, slate tags to go on the lovely slate coloured lanterns Katie had purchased, as well as chalkboard place cards and creating them a bespoke seating plan.

Three weeks prior to their wedding, after Katie’s Day in Detail meeting, all of her suppliers were contacted and a bespoke timeline created outlining every aspect of the day.

The week of their wedding was busy writing their place cards, creating their seating plan (with a little help from the other half)! and cutting hessian ready to go on to their tables. A big setup the evening before as well as the morning of the wedding. It was incredible seeing it all come together and working with Jenny and Emma from the Flower Barn is always a pleasure.

The styling in the orangery at Stoke Rochford for their ceremony was just beautiful with Katie’s lanterns she had purchased really adding the wow factor as well as the amazing urns (created by Jenny and Emma) either side of the Registrars table, the single roses with hessian bows on a few of the aisle chairs also added that extra little touch, just gorgeous. The brilliant Blue Topaz played during the ceremony. After the ceremony, the sun shone and drinks, canapes and photos were enjoyed on the terrace (and Blue Topaz continued to play) whilst myself and some of the staff at Stoke Rochford Hall moved everything from the Orangery through to the Library for their Wedding Breakfast which took on a whole new dimension. The hessian, peach, slate and creams just looked beautiful, mixed with the candlelight was just gorgeous in the room.

After speeches, everyone relaxed before the evening reception began. Extra photos were taken and then Katie and Stuart cut their beautiful wedding cake (all of their favourite flavours) followed by dancing a ‘foxtrot’ as their first dance performed by the brilliant Cupids Wish.

A really bespoke package was put together for Katie and Stuart and they were both an absolute dream to work with. Stuart’s daughter Jessica was also an absolute star throughout the 5 month process, as well as his son Joe. On the day Katie’s daughter Rachael looked just beautiful and you could see the bond between mother and daughter – certainly an emotional day for everyone involved with such happy memories and new friendships made.
