A CASTLE WEDDING (Part One)
May 29, 2014
Emma and Nick got married at the beautiful Belvoir Castle on Bank Holiday Saturday (24 May 2014). Although the weather wasn’t the best, (it’s a good job that myself and the photographer were equipped with umbrellas)! everything else certainly made up for it. A gorgeous day, a gorgeous bride and so much going on as Emma didn’t want her guests getting bored! Sean, a caricaturist, even rode on the red London buses with the guests to get them from Belton Woods Hotel to Belvoir Castle. He was absolutely brilliant and to actually draw whilst on a bus must mean he has real talent. They had a magician (Ashley) entertaining people during their Drinks Reception too who was incredible, as well as a Guitarist playing through their Wedding Breakfast who was superb and even learnt a song from ‘Game of Thrones’ overnight as a surprise from Emma for Nick. There was also a photobooth for guests to enjoy.
Not only this, they had a stunning String Quartet during their ceremony, owl and hawks demos and a tour of the castle.
In the evening they had a DJ and Band as well as full childcare for any children that were at the wedding, including a bouncy castle.
This is how Emma and I actually met, she asked me at a wedding fayre for a recommendation for childcare and I told her to get in touch with Wendy at The Childcare Partnership. We kept in touch through email and she actually booked me for her wedding 6 months later. Emma knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding and her timeline for the day was the longest I’ve ever had to create, absolutely loved it though and her day was great. Lots of her guests said ‘it was the best wedding they had ever been to’ which is always great to hear.
Emma’s theme was red and white and Nick and alot of the guests were Scottish, so it was great to see lots of kilts. She had a subtle theme of ‘Mario Kart’ which was brought to life in an amazing cake (by Love Life Eat Cake) and was also their first dance performed by Partybeat.
Jon Cripwell was Emma and Nick’s photographer and captured everything perfectly. The above are just a few sneaky peek images. Another blog will follow soon.
