CALLIGRAPHY, TYPEFACE OR HANDWRITTEN – WHAT’S YOUR CHOICE?

Dear all

You have decided on your beautiful invitations for your wedding, but do you hand write them with your guests names, have them type in or have a calligrapher do them for you.   More decisions to make!

The main thing is that you want your invitations to match your individual style.  Typeface can look a bit corporate, even though there are lots of nice fonts (which can look lovely on place name cards), your invitations need to be a bit more personal so I would opt for a calligrapher (if your budget will stretch) or if you have beautiful handwriting obviously do them yourself.  Typed address labels still look lovely.  Remember to look how long what you are writing is before starting as you want it to look central on your invitation.  Also don’t always think you have to write in black ink, purples, greys and blues can also look really nice if it fits in with your chosen colour scheme.

Remember to be creative its what weddings are about and makes them much more personal, individual and fun.
