CHILDREN – TO INVITE OR NOT
Dear all
All weddings are on a budget and if a lot of your friends have children and you don’t, this can really eat into your catering budget as well as venue choices. I.e. if there are going to be 25 children on top of your 60 guests, some venues don’t have this capacity and if you multiply 25 by your per head cost for catering, it will soon add up. As soon as you know you don’t want children at your wedding you need to make people aware, ideally at the ‘save the date’ stage. It is your day and people should understand this. Very close friends / family should receive a phone call or visit from you, as it needs to be personal so you can explain. As soon as you have done this you can go ahead and enjoy the rest of planning your wedding without worrying about upsetting anyone.
