ELEGANT, STYLISH SUMMER WEDDING AT WASHINGBOROUGH HALL, LINCOLN
November 1, 2015
August saw the wedding of the lovely Gemma and Aaron. A great fun couple bursting with ideas to make their day that extra bit special.
Gemma and Aaron first got in touch with me in September last year, Gemma was bridesmaid to Donna (whose wedding I assisted with in April) and Aaron was the Best Man.
Gemma and Aaron started with my ‘wedding planning kick start’ package to get some ideas ahead of their special day as well as confirming that Washingborough Hall was the venue for them. Because of my role as Director of Romance at Washingborough Hall it meant they received a lot of assistance as Lucy and I like to tailor all of our weddings to a couple’s exact requirements and really do go that extra mile.
Gemma and Aaron also wanted some additional assistance including full supplier coordination on the day as well as me being at the Church for them, this included taking the buttonholes for the men, order of service and some other bits, as well as being there to greet Gemma on her arrival.
Some lovely suppliers on board for their special day. Great to be part of the team at Washingborough Hall obviously, as well as working with David Lowerson Photography, Vow Bridal and Lincoln Luxury Cars. Also some new suppliers including Richie Muir and Flowers by Design.
Gemma and Aaron’s wedding was very contemporary, clean, elegant and stylish. Aaron was as excited about his suit as Gemma was about her dress which was really great to see. Homemade fudge by Sue at Washingborough Hall were their wedding favours, packed in pretty white birdcage style boxes with navy and blue ribbon to tie in with the men’s ties, bowties and handkerchiefs and the bridesmaids also looked gorgeous in navy blue. A travel theme played a part with their gorgeous table plan and table names.
Their ceremony took place at All Saints Church in Branston followed by their wedding reception at Washingborough Hall Hotel. A big setup the evening before and lots going on during the morning of their wedding, a thoroughly enjoyable day with some really great people who have now become very good friends. I remember the morning being so relaxed and chilled and all of the bridesmaids saying how relaxed they felt which was lovely to hear. It’s always nice to be told that you are like the ‘extra bridesmaid’.
The whole day was lovely, great company, great venue, great food and just everything a wedding should be. Pretty candlebags lined the pathway to the gazebo during the evening and really added to those final pictures of the day.
The pictures really do again speak for themselves by the amazing David Lowerson.
