COUNTRY MARQUEE WEDDING, LINCOLNSHIRE
August 19, 2013
Holly contacted me earlier in the year for wedding day management on Saturday 17 August 2013, but was persuaded that she didn’t need it. Closer to the wedding (June) she felt she did want somebody to co-ordinate the day and have the ‘the master plan’ of what was going on and contacted me again. I met her and Robert at their home and straight away she booked me to provide on-the-day co-ordination and help the day prior to the wedding. Holly had put so much in to her wedding and wanted to ensure her dreams and plans went smoothly so that she could enjoy the day.
Holly and Robert had a marquee (supplied by Belton Rentals) erected in the grounds of their beautiful home. Plants were planted all around the marquee to make it look stunning.
The entrance to the marquee was through a barn which was really lovely and the marquee overlooked open fields and a seating area.
Flowers were a big feature of their wedding as Robert owns a Nursery. Subtle colours were used to really show them off. Two of Holly’s Aunties provided the table arrangements, bouquets and displays in the marquee / Church. Their cake was beautiful and was supplied by Anna of Country Kitchen Cakes and their stationery was exquisite provided by the brilliant Heidi of Mariposa Designs.
As a surprise Robert organised a horse and carriage to take Holly to the Church, she still had a bridal car, but it went via her mother’s house, where the horse and carriage (provided by Humbria Wedding Carriages) was waiting. As a surprise for guests there was a Pimms Tent around the back of the Church.
Holly and Robert’s Drinks Reception and Wedding Breakfast was lovely and they had a feast of food (supplied by TR Catering). Cheese was served at the end of the meal with Dow Ruby Port. The Jazz Pack provided entertainment and were brilliant, Cindy, Tony and the rest of them are really lovely people as well.
After speeches Holly and Robert opened the bars (they had ‘his and hers’ which looked great) and were run by David and Alan who made me smile throughout the day.
Their first dance was to Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran. Holly and Robert chose not to have a band in the evening and had a Disco instead which worked really well.
Although the weather wasn’t perfect, Holly and Robert still had an amazing day and it was a pleasure to be part of it with them.
