LITTLE LOVE NOTES BLOG UPDATE
Dear all
Don’t forget to read our second instalment on Little Love Notes Blog, heres a snippet:-
“I’m getting married in December and we both like the idea of a Christmas theme, but I don’t want it too look too tacky. Can we make a Christmas theme look sophisticated?”
I think it is really important to try and use the winter theme more than the Christmas theme, and this will ensure it doesn’t look tacky. Try and use silvers, blues, purples or golds to make it look classy. Green and red are very Christmassy colours and sometimes if put together can look a little much, so opt for something with silver or gold. Christmas wreaths look lovely dotted around your venue, as well as a real Christmas tree. A lot of venues will put up a Christmas tree by the middle of December so it is worth checking with them.
Little mini crackers are lovely favours, or a Christmas bauble in the colours of your wedding – you can even have your names and wedding date put on them. Tying the place name onto the bauble wire can look really cute.
Get some silver snowflake confetti on your tables; this can look really pretty. Snowflakes and icicles can really add to your Christmas wedding and look lovely hanging from trees.
Winter / Christmas weddings are beautiful and candlelight should be used. If the budget can afford it, ice sculptures and snow machines can be hired to really create your winter wonderland. Also think of getting a cloak for some winter wedding shots outside.
Winter weddings are my favourite as you can have the roaring log fire and winter Pimms or rum punch. Don’t be afraid to use colour as they look fantastic in the photographs. Maybe even opt for a silver or gold wedding dress – this can look stunning, especially at this time of year.
